I worked closely with STEEL’s major clients, from first brief to final delivery – generating ideas and developing them with the team into (occasionally award-winning) digital campaigns. Budgets ranged from £2k to £200k, with campaigns always based around measurable business objectives and key customer behaviours.
As STEEL’s lead copywriter I wrote daily content for Debenhams and TalkTalk emails, plus regular copy for other clients’ newsletters, social media channels and campaign sites. I also advised on tone of voice and worked on branding campaigns for iStock by Getty, SmartDog and STEEL itself.
In two years the team increased Greggs Facebook fans from 300,000 to 750,000 and took their Twitter followers from 13,000 to 83,000. I led the team producing Greggs social media content and advised STEEL’s other clients on using social channels. STEEL won a 2013 Digital Impact Award for a Greggs Facebook campaign, The Great Greggs Sandwich Maker.

I regularly pitched new strategic opportunities and campaigns to STEEL’s major clients. I was also part of STEEL’s new business pitching team – winning contracts from iStock by Getty, Brothers Drinks and SmartDog Ltd.
